ABOUT THE MINDFULNESS HIKE:
We will begin with some gentle stretches, breathing exercises and slow flowing moves to warm up the body before we embark on our hike. We will stop at various spots along the way to enjoy a variety of mindfulness practices, including Qi Gong flows and moving meditations.
Our gatherings are warm and welcoming to all, offering time for light conversation and meaningful connection. The goal is to meet like-minded lovers of wellness, nature and mindfulness practices.
Hiking, along with these mindfulness practices, help transmute stress, enhance vitality, harmonize the mind-body-soul, and regulate the nervous system, so we can return to our natural state of peace and joy.
- HIKE STATS: This is an intermediate hike on a dirt trail with rocks, brush, some steep hills and ruts. Total length: 2.5 miles. Elevation gain: 315 ft. There is no shade on this trail, so a hat is mandatory. Hiking shoes or boots with excellent traction are also mandatory to navigate the uneven terrain. Long pants or workout leggings are highly recommended as well.
WHERE TO MEET:
Drive to Moulton Meadows Park: Address is Balboa Ave and Capistrano Ave in Laguna Beach 92651. It is located at the very top of the Laguna Beach hills. There is free parking on the street of Balboa Avenue. We will meet near the stop sign and restrooms, on the corner of Balboa Avenue and Cortez Avenue. TIMELINE:
- 8:50am - Arrive, park and meet near the restrooms.
- 8:55am – Introductions.
- 9:00am - Begin our mindfulness hike.
- 11:00am - Meetup will conclude at approximately this time. However, we don't keep track of time because we journey outside of time to enjoy the mind, body, soul adventure. We end when we end.

WHAT TO BRING/WEAR: Long hiking pants or long leggings, so legs are fully covered. Sturdy, close-toe trail shoes/boots with good traction, water, hat, layered clothing, camera, snacks. Optional: Hiking poles for those who need extra support navigating the uphill's, downhills and uneven terrain. There is no shade on the trail, so please wear a hat.
FREE PARKING / RESTROOMS ARE AVAILABLE
PLEASE NOTE: We depart promptly at 9:00am. If you show up late, walk up the park, and you will see us warming up under a shady tree.
NATURE TRAIL PRECAUTIONS: We need to be aware of flying insects, and natural hazards along the trail. Long hiking pants or long leggings are recommended and closed toed shoes are mandatory.
