Around me the trees stir in their leaves and call out, 'Stay awhile.'"
--Mary Oliver

Hello Friends,

I'd love to invite you to slow down and reconnect with yourself beneath the shade of ancient oak trees as a guided forest bathing experience.

Date and Time: Sunday May 3rd from 3:30 - 5:30PM
Location: Aliso and Wood Canyon Wilderness Park. (See attachments below for pictures of the park.) Meeting spot is at Canyon View Park in Aliso Viejo. 22144 Canyon Vistas, Aliso Viejo, 92656. Here is a link to the park for directions:

https://maps.apple.com/place?address=Wood%20Canyon%20Trail,%20Aliso%20Viejo,%20CA%20%2092656,%20United%20States&coordinate=33.583998,-117.744782&name=Canyon%20View%20Park&place-id=ICCF0BCFF7953C05A&map=explore

There is free parking on the street and we will meet on the sidewalk at the entrance to Canyon View park. There is a porta potty available for your use. Please arrive at 3:20 so we can start promptly at 3:30.

What to Expect: We will be walking about 2.4 miles with 438 ft elevation gain. We will be on dirt trails and a paved road/sidewalk. The trails are rated as “easy” but there are several short steep hills. The terrain is quite uneven and rocky in places; hiking polls are recommended for anyone who feels unsteady on their feet. We will be walking at a slow pace and taking frequent breaks.

What to Bring: Please wear sneakers or closed-toed shoes with good traction. You will want to wear long pants/leggings as there is a lot of poison oak in this area. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, hat, and a sweatshirt/jacket. Temperatures should be in the mid-70s to start but it will probably get cooler as the evening progresses.

We will be sitting on the ground for periods of time. I will have straw mats for you to sit on. If you prefer to sit on a cushion or a beach or camping chair, please bring that with you.

Fee: Fee for the event is $20. You can pay via Venmo @Donna-McCullough-5, Zelle (949.246.7724) or cash at the time of the event. 25% of the fees collected will be donated to an organization that supports the environment such as the Sierra Club.

We will be starting right at 3:30 so if you arrive late you can walk down the sidewalk on the right side of Canyon View park towards the trailhead. Once you enter Aliso and Wood Canyon Wilderness Park keep walking straight and you will be on Wood Creek Trail and you will find us there.

Please let me know if you plan to attend. Feel free to invite family or friends. Come with an open heart and a sense of wonder--All are warmly welcome. 🌿🌸🌳

Also, as a reminder that in order to support your ongoing practice and make these experiences more accessible, I'm also offering two special deals:
--Attend 3 paid forest bathing events and your 4th session is free.
--Bring a guest to any paid event and your next forest bathing session is free.

These offerings are my way of saying thank you for being a part of this community and for choosing to spend time in nature with intention and heart.
