Heyyyy guess what !?? After leaving book club yesterday I actually was able to make a future reservation for us at tea house online after two failed attempts…I brought the receipts ! lol, look at the photo I uploaded… it’s super far out, and I hope it won’t be too hot then 😖. So, here’s the deal… they did take my credit card information, but they didn’t actually charge me. I have a feeling if there are empty seats and not 8 actual people at the restaurant in real life (since I booked it for 8), some no shows or whatever I will be charged… SO! This is very important, please don’t RSVP casually and just not show up. Normally I don’t care I’m pretty laid back about rsvps in this group if you say you’ll go rsvp yes then don’t show, I’m not an rsvp nazi I completely understand, but please ONLY rsvp if you KNOW you can make it… I am going to cap the total rsvps at 8. For those of you new to the group or not aware of the situation, the Tea House is really hard to get into… you have to make reservations months in advance ! Credit card reservation etc…I’ve been wanting to have book club there for a while .. it’s very elite apparently lol. It’s so charming and quaint, it’s like a doll house I’ve never been but walked by and have been wanting to go for a long time. Please understand if you rsvp and then at the last second can’t go, if I’m charged you will be charged for being a no show. (Of course I will send you proof of a receipt if that situation happens which I really hope it doesn’t). Thanks for understanding. Please please please make sure you show up early to be able to park in the parking structure and walk the 10 or 15 minute walk or whatever it is… punctuality and commitment to rsvps is crucial this time… also if you rsvp like now then cancel it like a month from now due to whatever circumstances, that’s fine.. I’m Just talking about rsvping yes then all of a sudden a week or two weeks or morning of, all of a sudden you can’t, a time frame that doesn't give another member enough time to reasonably read the book etc., then you will be charged if I am. I know it's only 3 weeks after the previous book club, but I couldn't book August it was too far out for their system, so this was the next best option.
