Start your engines, it’s-a Mario Kart time!

This month, Ground Kontrol is featuring Mario Kart World on the Nintendo Switch 2 with prizes for the top three players! Warm up for the tournament with open casual matches beginning in the red side lounge at 6pm, and then kick off the tournament at 7pm. Tournament sign-ups will begin at 6pm in the lounge.

Tournament details:
– Mario Kart World (Nintendo Switch 2)
– Pro controllers & GameCube controller adapter provided (feel free to bring your own controller!)
– 32 player cap
– 150cc, no AI, all items, random tracks
– 4 players per round, 4 races per round, top 2 players based on points earned from race results proceed to next round

If you have your own volleyball please bring it. If you have your own doubles lines and/or nets (for grass volleyball) please bring those as well. Remember to bring drinks and snacks if need be.

Animal companions are welcome to attend. However, if you are bringing an animal companion to this event please keep your animal companion out of the way of players and secure (via leash, harness, halter, or carrier).

For the comfort and health of attendees, all events are non-smoking and non-vaping (which includes e-cigarettes, traditional cigarettes and marijuana).
Event Attendance: In order to hold each event we require a minimum of 10 confirmed players 90 minutes prior to the event, otherwise the event will be cancelled. If you sign up for an event, please attend the event. If you cannot attend an event, please politely change your status to "Not Going" no less than 90 minutes prior to the event so that hosts as well as those on the waitlist can plan accordingly. Please note that individuals who repeatedly sign up for events without attending, and not marking themselves as "Not Going" in advance of events, may be removed from this Meetup group. Six fenced-in courts. We play on the lower three courts, where Court A will be for advanced singles, Court B intermediate singles and Court C doubles.
Etiquette
If there are other players waiting within the group to play, please limit your time on a court to no more than 1-2 games or 20 minutes before rotating out.

Nearby in between the track and baseball diamond.
Supplies
Please bring your own racket, we will not be supplying rackets for players. If you can, please bring a can or two of your own balls just in case. Remember to bring drinks and snacks if need be. Please note that we only play tennis, we do not play pickleball.
