The Lagom Life (Scandinavian Cultural Exchange)

Hej, hej! Welcome to the lagom life! 👋

To start with, lagom means "just right" in Swedish, and that's how we want each event to leave you feeling. The Lagom Life is your passport to all things Nordic, right here in your backyard. We're on a mission to whisk you away to the land of fjords, political logic, saunas, social equality, fika, mythology, creativity and jantelagen (the unspoken law of community and humility) — even if it's just for an hour or two. Primarily focused on the culture and language of Sweden, our circle enthusiastically welcomes transplants and enthusiasts alike from across the Scandinavian spectrum, including Finland, Denmark, Norway and Iceland. We're all about connecting with kindred spirits, having hauska (Finnish for fun), making new friends and creating unforgettable memories. So come share a hygge moment (that's Danish for cozy contentment) with us and let's feire (Norwegian for celebrate)!

• Location: Majority of the time events will take place around the Lake Oswego area, as attendance grows we will expand to other event hosts and branch out to a broader region.

Note to all: In order to hold each event we require a minimum of 10 confirmed players 90 minutes prior to the event.
If you sign up for an event, please attend the event. If you cannot attend an event, please politely change your status to "Not Going" no less than an 90 minutes prior to the event so that hoss as well as those on the waitlist can plan accordingly. Please note that individuals who repeatedly sign up for events without attending, and not marking themselves as "Not Going" in advance of events, may be removed from the this Meetup group.
