What we’re about

Every month, members of our group read and discuss two books that we chose approximately two months prior. We meet roughly every other Sunday evening with separate books and meetings. (Generally, the first meeting of the month is on Zoom and the second meeting is in-person in Bellevue.) You may attend one or both meetings a month…whatever fits your interests and schedule best.
Unlike other book groups, we truly DO read and discuss each book, not just socialize. And you don’t have to have a master’s degree in English to participate. Everyone is welcome. We’re an eclectic, fun, interesting group that just loves books of all genres—and our choices reflect that.

Here’s what we've been reading lately:  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1s48Uj_nJkgMrgZ8D3055P18g211CMSAG1g2V-aeD8Bo/edit?usp=sharing

Our member dues are $10 per year with a 60-day free trial. Please pay cash in person or Venmo (@Joy-LaFehr) to avoid fees. If you need more time to pay your dues, contact Joy with a personal message and we will make arrangements.
In addition to book discussions, we also meet up for movies, plays, author events and more.
If you enjoy reading and sharing your insights, Lake Washington Readers is for you!
