Welcome to the Lake Washington Readers! We have meetups on both sides of Lake Washington. Feel free to join us for our Seattle and/or Bellevue book discussions, regardless of where you live. Since the pandemic, we have also been meeting outdoors or online.

Meeting Etiquette
1) Be on time: Please arrive or join the call a few minutes early so we can start promptly.

2) Come prepared: Try to finish the book (or as much as you can) so everyone can fully take part in the discussion, but there is NO shaming for not finishing!

3) Listen and share respectfully: Give everyone a chance to speak without interruption. Let people finish sharing their thoughts before jumping in—we all bring different perspectives, and hearing each other out completely makes our conversations more meaningful. During online meetings, we can even mute ourselves when it is not our turn to speak.

4) Stay on topic: A bit of chit-chat is fine, but let’s keep most of the conversation focused on the book. Side conversations are disruptive and disrespectful, as well.

5) Bring your enthusiasm: The more energy and ideas we share, the better our discussions become!

Member Dues: $10 per year with a 60-day free trial. Please pay cash in person or Venmo (@Joy-LaFehr) to avoid fees. If you need more time to pay your dues, contact Joy with a personal message and we will make arrangements.
