Hello and a warm welcome to the Lakeland Group. We are a friendly bunch of Long Distance walkers who enjoy social walks as much as challenge events (perhaps even more) and walk at a pleasant pace with walks that are long but not too crazy long!

Lakeland Group 50th Anniversary Walk
Station Inn Oxenholme, Hayclose Lane, Kendal, GBA 22 mile walk with 2900 foot ascent Moderate pace finishing by 17:30. If you would like to join the group for a pub meal and chance to reminisce afterwards at the Station Inn (Meal about 18.30, drinks beforehand), please email the walk leader, who will be Nicky Wood, lakeland@ldwa.org.uk

A route which revisits old haunts enjoyed by Lakeland Challenge Events and Social Walks in the group's earlier days. For anyone wanting a much shorter loop you could turn this figure of 8 walk into a smaller circle near New Hutton. Visiting The Helm, St Sunday's Beck, Old Hutton, New Hutton, Killington Reservoir, the Fox's Pulpit, Firbank and Docker Fells.1 attendee
