Although declarative languages are known for a long time, dating back to Prolog, they still are highly underrated and relatively unknown. Dedalus language (by Peter Alvaro et al) is one of such languages developed specifically for distributed computing. It provides a glimpse on how new class of languages of the future may feel like.
This talk will be about alternative implementation of Dedalus and how it can or can not be bend for use in common applications.
