This meetup group is dedicated to learning about the Laravel framework and is located in Groningen (The Netherlands). Our goals are to stay current on Laravel and discuss, share knowledge, experience and network with people interested in Laravel. We welcome Laravel developers, Graphic and Web Designers and anyone interested in building beautiful things with Laravel.
Through this page you can register for the Laravel Groningen Community. If you want to join one of our events, you'll have to register for the event separately. Through registering for this community, you will receive e-mail updates when we are scheduling a new event. You can then register for it by clicking the RSVP button next to the event. 🚀 After a successful first Laravel Meetup, we are planning the second one of 2023 for June 1st. Will you be there?!

Around 19.00 we start the night with beer and pizza, at 19.30 we have the first lecture by Philo Hermans and at 20.30 the second lecture by Steve McDougall.

19.30 - 20.15 All things Livewire by Philo Hermans
Philo is an entrepreneur that is passionate about code (especially Laravel and Livewire), and sharing his knowledge to help others. He (co-)founded multiple startups, raised venture capital, and scaled businesses. For the past two years, he has been building his latest startup Anystack in public but also developer-focused tools for Laravel and Livewire like Observer, Wire-Elements, and Porter. During his talk, Philo will share all his knowledge about Livewire and how you can implement it too.
20.30 - 21.15 A deep dive into APIs by Steve McDougall
Steve is a technical writer for Laravel News, a Developer Advocate for Treblle, and Livestreams on YouTube regularly. He has spent a lot of time in the API space, and likes to focus on educating others on how they can build and maintain better APIs and API integrations. We talk about APIs a lot, but what about when an API wants to communicate something back to you? Join this hands on session about building and sending webhooks in Laravel, where we will go through how they work and how we can guarantee the source.
