Laravel Meetup with Daniël Heesen and Duilio Palacios

Delivery Mindset (19.30 - 20.15)
Daniël Heesen is a digital strategist who is building digital products with Laravel. In his talk, he will discuss the importance of having a "delivery mindset" when it comes to product development. Too often, developers spend too much time optimizing their products before they even see how they perform in the real world. The delivery mindset is all about delivering early and fast, so that you can gather data and optimize based on feedback.

Testing Strategies (20.30 - 21.15)
Duilio Palacios is a PHP and Laravel developer and runs Styde, a development learning community. In his talk, Duilio will show different strategies to test Laravel applications and PHP classes. This includes addressing the distinction between Unit, Integration, Functional and End to End testing. Lastly, we will review how to perform permutation tests, how to get a good amount of confidence and speed when testing different boundaries of an application and study some of the common challenges presented while attempting to test a real application.
