Agile Budgeting & Finances: unveiling conventional management mistakes

Details
This meetup will not be LeSS-specific. Although what we will discuss, rides on core principles of LeSS: System design and system thinking, Lean thinking, organizational structure, etc.
I am fueled and propelled by a series of discussion in the community of trainers and coaches that attended Agile Alliance conference a few weeks ago.
One of the speakers there, Bjarte

I am fueled and propelled by a series of discussions in the community of trainers and coaches that attended Agile Alliance conference a few weeks ago.
One of the speakers there, Bjarte Bogsnes, who is Vice President of Performance Management Development and Chairman Beyond Budgeting Roundtable Europe gave a mind-blowing presentation about budgeting and finances. His talk was based on the book
“Implementing Beyond Budgeting: Unlocking the Performance Potential” (https://www.amazon.com/Implementing-Beyond-Budgeting-Unlocking-Performance-ebook/dp/B01HXJIY80/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1471057488&sr=1-1&keywords=Implementing+Beyond+Budgeting)
which I personally happened to read from cover to cover: an astonishing truth about fallacies and misbeliefs of conventional budget management.
I reached out to Bjarte and with his permission will be using his own presentation slides in the attempt to deliver this topic. I am very thankful to him for letting me use his materials.
This is the 2nd Edition of Bjarte’s book and in it he emphasizes (in many places) the need for agile finance management. He also refers a lot to work dynamics and culture that prevails in agile organizations. I don’t promise to pose as an expert on the subject of Budget & Finance. But I do promise to do my best to make a close alignment between “better” budgeting and agile.

Apologies for creating this meetup as a placeholder, without a specific topic being announced.
Many folks have indicated that having future meetups announced sooner helps planning their schedules. Thus, reserving everyone's time slot now.
The topic is TBD but a few very interesting options are available. This will be finalized in the next few days.
Thanks,
gene
