The Street View World Tour is a monthly global “sketch together” event on Zoom. Everyone sketches from the same Google Earth or Google Street View images from all over the world selected by the hosts and guest artist around a theme. The event includes a 10-minute warm-up sketch, a 30-minute “sketch-along” demonstration provided by a guest artist, and two more 30-minute sketches. This is an informal event. You are sketching from home, you can use any media, you can share with the group OR not (the host usually picks a few sketchers to share their work with the group). The group meets the first Thursday of every month at 11:00 a.m. MT. The event is free. You can access the session through the new website: https://www.streetviewworldtour.com. Registration is no longer required. Once connected to the website, click on “Meetup Info” and then on “Meeting Room” (“Just join us in our Meeting Room at he appointed time.”).

This is the old Dona Ana Courthouse on Amador. In 1937 the WPA partially funded the construction of this three-story white Adobe with exposed vigas and wooden balconies. A jail was added in 1969. The architect was Percy McGhee , a student of Henry Trost. McGhee also did the Brannigan cultural center building. In two different histories, I saw that it was called Spanish revival and in a different one Pueblo revival style building.
David from Southwest Expeditions has an office there. He’s the one that takes people on canoe trips, kayak trips, hiking trips, and ghost Tours.

Please be on time so David can lead us all up to the roof together.
We will be on the roof near sunset to draw/paint the Bell Tower or turn east and use the Organ Mts as your subject. You will need to be able to climb steps with your gear. Bring your art supplies, camp chairs, flashlight and dress for the weather. I will limit this to 12 artists, please take yourself off the list if you can't make it.
