We are building a group of easy-going people who love the simple act of running (or walking or both). Everyone is welcome to our meetups. We have beginners and advanced runners. Our focus is on building an inclusive, supportive training community in which we get together for an hour or two a couple days per week in South Las Vegas and learn the art of running, strength training and flexibility for runners, go for a run and enjoy some good coffee, camaraderie and conversation afterwards.
Join us Saturday August 8, 2020 AT 5:30AM for our weekly run and coffee meetup. Beginners to advanced runners (or walkers) welcome.
Expect run-related education (nutrition, running form, injury prevention, etc), dynamic warm up and run with us. All abilities welcome and you can easily shorten or lengthen the course if needed.
Our favorite coffee house, Grouchy Johns, isn't quite ready to handle all of us in their building at one time after the run but we'd still like to support the business that has supported us for 7 years, so we'd like to invite all of our runners to purchase your coffee to-go after your run, then join us back at the park.
Our meetup is free and open to all. Conversation and fun encouraged. Water provided!
This month's route is an 8.6 mile loop.
Turn-by-turn directions are as follows:
-East on Wigwam from the park (0.1 mi)
-Left on I-215 trail(2.5 mi)
*Note: Trail ends after approx 2 miles. Runners will continue straight on Paradise Rd*
-Left on Pilot Rd (1.75 mi)
-Left on Sunset Rd (100 ft)
-Left on Gillespie St (1.0 mi)
-Left on Eldorado Ln (1.25 mi)
-Right on I-215 Trail (1.75 mi)
-Right on Wigwam (0.1 mi)
All distances are approximate and all the turns and major intersections on the course will be marked. You are more than welcome (even encouraged) to shorten or lengthen the course to your needs. Water will be provided on the course and at the start /finish line and two other places on the course. Please be familiar with the route by Saturday. See you at 530am!
