The Las Vegas Runner "Cool Kids" are back!

Join us on Wednesday, September 24rd at 4:30am at Cornerstone Park for a warm up, speed work session, and cool down.

We will meet in the parking lot and do two warm up loops around the lake (2 miles approx) and a dynamic warm up.
You have the option of doing 1 loop if your pace is a bit slower, followed by the warm up and 4x 1.50 mile repeats:

Schedule:
1-2 loop warm up around Cornerstone Lake
4 x 1.5 mile at Tempo Pace with a 3 min recovery jog between sets
Recoveries should be taken between 8:00-12:00min depending on ability.
10x20 second strides on the loop - 40 seconds walking between sets
1-2 Mile Cool Down Jog

These Wednesday series of speed work are perfect if you're looking to qualify for Boston, Chicago, or just looking to incorporate some speed work with a running group. However, we're still open to all and you can adjust the paces to fit your fitness level. These Wednesday workout series will be built around the upcoming Las Vegas Marathon on October 26.
Walk, jog, run or crawl, you're welcome to join us anytime. If you don't understand the workout or have never been, that's ok, come a few minutes early and we'll explain. Bring your GPS watch. You'll need it to measure the intervals.
If you need to cut the workout short or modify due to experience/ time constraints, etc, that's ok too. It's your run and we're a friendly group! Hope to see you Wednesday!
