Description so long that you got sleepy? I made videos for that. - Walk-Shop SW Suburbs 2-or-4 milesRed Ridge Park, Las Vegas, NV
This early morning exercise sidewalk trip (beginner level okay) to Durango and Warm Springs includes a 20 or 30 minute mid-point break at CVS for an optional nearby quick shopping visit to Smith's and/or Vons.
*** Shared event with another Meetup hiking group ***
Two options: (1) a short 2 mile round-trip from the Red Ridge Park baseball diamonds central area or (2) a 30 minutes earlier extended 4 mile walk from the Clark County Credit Union (Sunset just east of Ft Apache). For the extended walk, be at CCCU 30 minutes early to arrive at Red Ridge Park on time. (I will start at CCCU.)
View the special map and images for both options. The route was chosen to be safe with relatively low vehicle traffic. REQUIRED READING (legal info + ICE card PDF)
For the basic 2 mile round-trip walk, it takes 20-25 minutes from the park to CVS mostly in shade. With up to 30 minutes for shopping, duration should still be under 90 minutes total. For those choosing the extended 4+ mile walk, add an hour to the total.
