MULTI-DAY TRIP: Mountains & BBQ (Reno area)

Every Labor Day, Reno hosts the best-of-the-west rib cook-off a six day event with some of the best BBQ around. This will be my tenth time attending. We'll plan to miss the first day, instead starting the drive up Wednesday after work, and finishing it Thursday enroute to that day's peak. If others are able and want to get there Wednesday, they are free to do so. Those who want to are free to fly to and/or from Reno to fit their schedules. Join for whatever days you want. As the event gets closer it will become clear what room exists in vehicles and whether rentals for the fly-ins are needed. Reno locals are welcome to join for whatever pieces as their schedule or interest allows.

Further, the Reno area has an impressive collection of great peaks to climb.

The peak agenda is yet to be determined. Further the usual campsite had a fire, and it's status is to be determined.

Also important to note- we'll be camping in the same place throughout, so we only need to pitch a tent and setup camp once. The campground has showers. That said, campsites do sell out, so it's important to reserve early.
