Seneca's Epistulae - Letter #12, "Old Age"

Please note: this is an IN-PERSON meeting in New York City (Brooklyn). Please do not RSVP if you cannot physically attend.

This time we will be continuing our readings drawn from Seneca's Epistulae Morales (we will get back to Ovid eventually, though!). We will read Seneca's 12th epistle to Lucilius from the Epistulae Morales ad Lucilium, "Old Age." I personally will be reading it in the edition created by Geoffrey Steadman (available here both as a free PDF online or to physically purchase), but feel free to read it in any other edition you prefer, such as The Latin Library or The Perseus Project. The text is not too long and is self-contained, so no prior acquaintance with Seneca's work is necessary.

We will meet on Saturday, September 19, at 12:00 noon in the main lobby/coffee shop area of the Brooklyn Central Library at Grand Army Plaza.
