Let's connect with other singles in Chicago to enjoy all things Latinx: music, theater, film, food, dancing, comedy, volunteering in the community, people.
If you are single and want to meet new people who share similar interests centered on enjoying, supporting and elevating the Latinx community of Chicago, this group is for you. No need to be Latinx, all are welcome as long as you're single.
Group name is meant to be inclusive of any way one may identify when it comes to those of Latin American and Spanish descent. Linguistics is such a beautiful thing and always evolving; thus, so many terms to identify with.

Please keep in mind the goal is to bring together singles who genuinely enjoy these events. As meetup puts it clearly in their guidelines: this group is not for pick-up or seduction techniques, or wingman tactics.
Please be mindful of your RSVP and update accordingly if your plans change. If you RSVP and don't show up, you'll be flagged as "no show" and eventually be removed from the group if it becomes a trend.
Note that there is a $10 annual fee which is due in cash at your 2nd event.

Le'ts make new friends and connections at Stay and Play Cafe
Stay And Play Game Cafe, 3932 w Irving Park road, Chicago, IL, USNew Year, New Goals to make new friends and connections that could lead to more at Stay and Play Game cafe. We will have the option to play from a selection of over 700 board games. You can also enjoy delicious Puerto Rican food and drinks.
Note that the venue has a game pass of $5 per person to play with a $10 minimum food purchase. $15 to play for 2 hours otherwise.
The owners/couple's story is amazing and on top of it, they also have a social impact initiative supporting local non-profits. I have been here a few times and absolutely loved it and sure you will too.
We will likely have a few tables with different games depending on how many show up.
There is a small parking lot in the back. Short walk from Irving Park blue line.

Volunteering at Citizenship Workshop
Instituto Del Progreso Latino, 2520 S. Western Ave, Chicago, IL, USJoin us at our next event helping our community. Mujeres Latinas en Accion is part of a local network of non-profits who are in need of volunteers to help people fill their Citizenship applications.
Where will this take place?
- Instituto del Progreso Latino, near Little Village
How long will event be?
- The non-profit holds event from 8am - 2pm but they ask volunteers to commit to at least 4 hours.
What do you need to do?
- Step 1: Send an email to ChiLatinsingles@yahoo.com so I can connect you to my contact at the Non-Profit.
- Step 2: Fill out required volunteer application you'll receive from non-profit.
- Step 3: Attend a mandatory training the Wednesday before.
- Step 4: Show up! You can volunteer all year long as they hold these workshops on a monthly basis. Dates with corresponding training listed below. Duties are primarily to assist in filling out the N- 400 Citizenship application, translate (if you're bilingual), fill out fee waivers, etc.
