What we’re about
Let's connect with other singles in Chicago to enjoy all things Latinx: music, theater, film, food, dancing, comedy, volunteering in the community, people.
If you are single and want to meet new people who share similar interests centered on enjoying, supporting and elevating the Latinx community of Chicago, this group is for you. No need to be Latinx, all are welcome as long as you're single.
Group name is meant to be inclusive of any way one may identify when it comes to those of Latin American and Spanish descent. Linguistics is such a beautiful thing and always evolving; thus, so many terms to identify with.
Happy to take recommendations on events.
Looking forward to continue building community with you.
Please keep in mind the goal is to bring together singles who genuinely enjoy these events. As meetup puts it clearly in their guidelines: this group is not for pick-up or seduction techniques, or wingman tactics.
Please be mindful of your RSVP and update accordingly if your plans change. If you RSVP and don't show up, you'll be flagged as "no show" and eventually be removed from the group if it becomes a trend.
Note that there is a $10 annual fee which is due in cash at your 2nd event.
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Let's go see Juanes @ RaviniaRavinia, Highland Park, IL
"This summer, Juanes makes his Ravinia Festival debut, bringing songs from his critically acclaimed new album as well as hits from throughout his career. Join us at Ravinia for a night of unforgettable music, where heartfelt storytelling and the rich rhythms of Latin America come together under the stars!"
This is a great experience for music lovers as well as a great opportunity to meet new people in a very relaxed setting. If you have not been to Ravinia before, this park was specifically designed for outdoor concerts, while enjoying food and drinks. You can either bring your own food, drink, chair from home or rent from Ravinia.
Show starts at 7:30pm, but to enjoy Ravinia, you really should come earlier. I plan to get there at 5pm when gates open.
You can purchase your tickets here If you are attending multiple Ravinia shows, I suggest you buy them all at once since there is a service fee of $18 per transaction, regardless of the number of tickets purchased. I also highly encourage you to purchase as soon as you get a chance since some shows sell out quickly.
We can organize carpools, coordinate food/drinks to bring and/or even ride together on the Metra. You can ride the Metra for free showing your ticket to the event.
As always, please be mindful of your rsvp. No shows are tracked and removed from group if it becomes a trend.
Note that there is a $10 annual fee due at your 2nd event. Cash is preferred.

There is such a thing as a Cumbia Rave aka Cumbiatron. Let's go check it out and dust off our dance shoes.
Check out their very persuasive promo video for what to expect and like they say: "invite all your friends and if they don't want to come, go by yourself and make new friends with better taste!"
Get your general admission ticket via this link before it sells out. House of Blues is standing room only but why would you want to sit down at a Cumbia rave? lol
