Let's support the Chicago Latino Film Festival and watch a Drama/Action film from El Salvador: Luciernagas en el mozote. Get your ticket ahead of time in the link provided as films tend to sell out.

Film starts at 8:15pm. We'll meet at bar on 2nd floor before we head to our seats around 8:00pm.

Film description:
On the morning of December 10, 1981, Salvadoran government troops raided the peaceful enclave of El Mozote, massacring the entire population. One survivor, ten-year-old José, is found hiding in the rainforest by the guerrilla unit in charge of Radio Venceremos. Befriended by Alma (Paz Vega), a member of the guerilla, José recovers from the traumatic experience to become a key player in their efforts to expose the government’s civil rights violations during this bloody civil war and bring justice to his dead family.
