I will be unable to Admit people who attempt to join the class more than 15 minutes past the hour.

I understand that things come up and people can simply be running late.  Yet I wish to do this in order to keep the flow going, to keep the space sacred for other members, and to provide the maximum benefit of a LY class.

The class lasts ~30-40 minutes. Please see LY description below, as well, if you're new to LY. I am a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader in the US.

Since this *is* aerobic exercise, please remember to HYDRATE after the class with at least one nice, tall glass of water. : )

Laughter Yoga is a health concept that almost anyone can do-- it's easy and so fun! You can sit, stand or even lie down to do it. It's not postural/traditional yoga -- it's called Laughter Yoga (LY) because it borrows breathing exercises from traditional yoga. : ) It's actually a form of aerobic exercise! But no equipment is needed! Just bring yourself. : )

It's not based on anything humorous -- we just tap into a child-like sense of playfulness and engage in laughter activities in which we laugh intentionally, on purpose. Why? Because Dr. Madan Kataria, MD, who developed LY, discovered that our brains and bodies don't know the difference between when we're laughing on purpose or when we're laughing genuinely and spontaneously! So, we reap the many physical-mental-emotional health benefits of laughter -- which has long been studied and known to be excellent medicine -- without needing something funny to elicit it from us! (Copious solid studies have been done on the effectiveness of LY that you may wish to look up at laughteryoga.org)

LY allows our brains to release the "feel good" chemicals/neurotransmitters...and that's a big part of why it's so wonderful for our health on every level! : )

Doing "live" ZOOM Laughter Yoga classes can create such a wonderful sense of community! This is one of the many reasons why I wanted to start my own class. : )

If you're a wee bit shy and/or if you’ve never done Laughter Yoga before, it's not even necessary to turn on your Video or your Mic to participate, or to just watch to check out what it's all about, at first.

My intention for this class is for everyone to feel comfortable and safe, and to participate as feels and works best for each person...and to have a good time together being silly! In LY, laughter can turn spontaneous and contagious, and when that happens, it just adds to the fun and benefit!
