This Sunday we will do a hike from Montreux up to the Buvette de Jaman. This hike has an elevation of 1'365m over 7.6km so it's physically challenging. The idea is to arrive at the Buvette de Jaman at around 13:30 in order to have lunch there. They have a very nice menu, including good pies and beer in a beautiful setting surrounded by mountains.
The more adventurous ones can climb to the Dent du Jaman which is right nearby and has beautiful views over the lake. We will come back with the train departing directly from the Buvette so there is no hiking down (great for the knees!).
🏔️ HIKE DETAILS
We will meet at the Montreux train station at 9:20 and will go up through a bit of the city. We will then cross Glion, Caux, Haut de Caux and pass beside the Merdasson, after which we will reach Jaman.
Starting time: 9:20
Duration: 4:20 hours (including breaks for snacks and lunch)
Length: 7.6km
