After Hours Guided Church Building Tours (Tufts Chapel) - By Reservation
LDS Tufts Building, 999 East Tufts Avenue, Cherry Hills Village, CO, USHosted by: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Cost: Free
Commitment Afterwards: None
Language: English or Spanish
- RSVP Required -LDS Church buildings are primarily used for worship which happens regularly on Sundays. Visitors are welcome to those meetings too... but sometimes people would rather get a feel for the place outside of an official worship meeting. For them, we offer guided tours at the building outside of regular worship meeting times.
When: We're pretty flexible with these. RSVP here on meetup and we'll send you a direct message through the meetup app to arrange for a tour guide to meet you. If you don't hear from us, please make sure you haven't blocked incoming messages in your meetup app permissions.
Tours can potentially be scheduled between 10am and 8pm. Tours will typically take around 40 minutes, but could be shortened or lengthened if you like.
What we'll cover: Come with questions if you have any, but otherwise, we'll walk around the building and talk about what happens in each room. We can talk about the artwork on the walls, the local church culture, activities/events, gospel topics,... whatever you're comfortable with.
What to wear: Casual is fine. Be comfortable. Depending on the time you schedule your tour, there might be other events going on in the building (such as volleyball, basketball, D&D, choir,...)
General Venue Rules: Similar rules to when you go to the public library:
- Please be respectful of the building
- Please help us clean up trash/chairs/tables at the end of the event.
- No Alcohol/Tobacco/Marijuana/Vaping/Smoking/etc on church property.
- Keep language respectful and kid-friendly
- It's our "privilege" (Not a "right") to use the building as a venue.
