What we’re about

Lean Agile Munic is, as the name suggests, a Meetup about Lean and Agile ways of working and creating cool stuff in our VUCA or BANI world for people in and around Munich.

As the original Agile Lean München became orphaned when the original initiators moved on to their website, we all got the call to keep it alive, and I am the guy who first pressed the button.

I enjoyed the initial events, met friendly, like-minded people, and could not skip the opportunity to revive it with a slightly different twist I want to lay out here:

When I look up Meetup**,** Wikipedia says it is a social media platform for hosting and organizing in-person and virtual activities, gatherings, and events for people and communities with similar interests, hobbies, and professions.

Sounds great to me. Let us revive this Meetup as a:

  • Free Meetup
  • A more decentralized organization where all members are invited to bring in their ideas for events, contribute, or just consume
  • Perhaps more minor, but many more events
  • Internation and diverse

Even though Kurt Cotoaga (that's me) is very easy to google, here is a little bit about myself:

I began my career as a research assistant, utilizing evolutionary algorithms to tackle NP-hard problems that continue to challenge researchers today. However, my passion for solving problems led me to pivot into product management.

Around 2005, I realized that agility, XP, and lean methodologies were the keys to creating sustainable business value. As a result, I shifted from being a Jack-of-all-trades to a Master-of-Many and from a Lone-Wolf-Master-PM to a Servant Leader in a high-performing team of teams.

Today, I enjoy my job as a business-value-addicted Digitalization Evangelist and Enterprise Transformation Implementer who is looking to significantly contribute to the successful corporate evolution of our future society.

I work for Exxeta AG, which fortunately has a great office in the center of Werkstadtviertel, so we have an excellent location for our first Meetups.

I suggest running 2-3 virtual lean coffees at the beginning so everybody can shape the future direction. Everybody is welcome to join the team of organizers and administrators of this Meetup.
