Build a RESTful Recipe Manager with Node and Express

Join us for our build a web application series to make an recipe manager!

This workshop will be a combination of interactive lecture and building out a working application in pairs. You'll dive deep into node and express so you can finish the workshop with a new skill set and an amazing product to add to your developer portfolio.

During this workshop we will cover:

What are Node and Express?
What is an HTTP transaction?
What is a RESTful API and how do I make requests to them?
How can I interact with my local filesystem?
A step by step guide to building a simple recipe manager

Wait a recipe manager? How will that work? It will have the following capabilities

Create, Read, Update, and Delete (CRUD) recipes in your collection

These operations will be completed via combination of simple HTTP requests and filesystem interactions

All experience levels are welcome, but a basic familiarity with javascript is strongly recommended.
