Intro To HTML/CSS/JavaScript: Free Learning Series. Beginners Welcome!
The Learn to Code Learning Series is back and it's here to stay! We’ve built an incredible curriculum, created resources, and made learning interactive. This learning series format combine breakout sessions, formalized instruction, and group learning to enable to grasp the skills necessary to become a web developer. This event will occur on every Wednesday. It usually takes around 8 weeks to complete the entire curriculum. We have an on-boarding session at the beginning of every meeting so don't worry about falling behind! If you can’t attend every meeting consecutively, that’s completely fine as well! The structure of this allows you to come and go as you please and enables anyone, of any skill level, to come and utilize resources for their skill level and needs. If you’ve tried online tutorials just to get stuck and frustrated, this event is for you. We believe in community based learning to help anyone, of any skill level, grow their skills in web development. The curriculum is geared towards someone who has never coded and will take you to foundational knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Learning to code can be incredibly intimidating, we built the learning series to be an approachable and encouraging introduction to web development for the most basic of beginners :) Already have a little bit of coding knowledge? We have you covered! You’ll be able to breeze through the basics that you already mastered and join some breakout sessions that cover some more advanced topics. By the end of the 8 part series you’ll be able to create and deploy a static website and create a mad-lib game completely from scratch. **Make sure to Register on Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/intro-to-htmlcssjavascript-free-learning-series-beginners-welcome-tickets-41218960019) so we know how much food/drink to order!** Schedule 6pm - Check in/Networking/Food/Drinks 6:20pm - Session Kick off. What we're about

Have you ever thought about learning to code but weren't sure how to get started? Let's meet and explore the fundamentals of programming, including how to write code as well as how to develop an attitude that will enable us to quickly learn new technologies.

Each meetup will be led by an expert who will guide us in a new skill or concept, and help us get started with programming, whether as a career or as a hobby.

Here are some example workshops:

• HTML / CSS Workshop: Let's build a website

• Web Dev 101 Workshop

• Intro to Javascript

• Intro to Angular JS

We will also host some intermediate to advanced workshops. All levels are welcome to attend :)
