Our first class series is Perusing Through Python, an introduction to the programming language that’s absolutely free thanks to our generous sponsor, Dycom!

We believe in encouraging women in our community and fostering a diverse environment in the tech industry. If your 2019 resolution involved learning a new skill, then this is your opportunity to learn from industry leaders through our 3-part project-based class series.

INSTRUCTION:
Classes will be taught by the brilliant Olivia Witkowski, a senior software engineer at Dycom, with mentorship by a group of equally talented and resourceful women who’ll answer questions & provide career advice.

(Men are also invited to attend to have a space for open dialogue & workplace diversity)

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Fundamentals of Python class with a collaborative hands-on workshop. We’ve worked on a curriculum that helps everyone who have never coded before. There are no prerequisites.

COFFEE & FOOD:
Light breakfast, refreshments and light lunch will be provided.

WHAT TO BRING:
Notepad and pen for note-taking, a resume if you’d like advice on it, and laptop with a text editor installed, (if you don’t have a laptop, Dycom will let you borrow a loaner if you let us know ahead of time)

COST:
Absolutely free!

Please RSVP, we only have 25 spot and they fill quickly!
