Tuesday afternoon chess in Golden
Details
The Golden chess club meets at the Vellichor Coffee shop every Tuesday from 12:30 to 5:00. Format is two weekly optional matches (early, late, or both) which are prearranged - the club organizer pairs you with people that you will play that week.
The first match is from 12:45-2:45 and the second is from 2:45 - 4:45 pm. It's not uncommon to play more than one game in each session depending on what the two of you find comfortable. Clocks are optional and games are casual, not USCF-rated.
You are welcome to visit any week and meet the club - if you want to join, give us (before or after your visit) your email, telephone number, chess.com handle if you have one, and your approximate rating. We are pretty much in the 700 to 1600 range.
We issue an Email invitation to play each Friday and then schedule those who reply by Sunday noon with a Monday Email to the players. The present Golden club leader is Jim Zvanut at [jzvanut43@gmail.com](mailto:jzvanut43@gmail.com) and he is the person to notify. Come out and join us - we love new players!
