Have you seen them movie The Matrix? It came out in 1999 and imagined a world where AI technology had quietly taken over human life.

People were plugged into an alternate reality, getting one dopamine hit after another, while the places around them slowly crumbled.

Look around a park, bus, beach, restaurant, or your own home. People are everywhere, yet so much of our attention is elsewhere.

We’re missing conversations, experiences, relationships, opportunities, and even the chance to discover what we want from life.

This isn’t a personal failing!

The creators of Instagram, for example, took classes at Stanford called “Persuasive Technology,” where they rigorously studied some of the most influential insights scientists had discovered about psychology and human behavior, and brainstormed how to apply those insights to their tech.

Companies understood that they made a lot of money off of you when you stayed on your phone, computer, TV, slot machine, video games, etc.

Learning Intensives with Cody is for people who understand that their attention is one of their most valuable treasures.

What happens?
Cody leads a passionate lecture filled with stories, ideas, and practical ways to think differently about our relationship with technology.

Then we put those ideas into practice through shared movement that get us talking and engaging with each other and people we don't know.

Extra details
We’ll meet for one hour, usually somewhere with air conditioning, somewhere beautiful in Auckland, or at the beach.

Reminders will be sent if you need to bring a blanket, notepad, a drink, or snacks for yourself.

ALL backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles are welcome and the more diverse our group is the more magic we'll create.
