What we're about

Hi there!

Have you always wanted to give singing a try, but never really knew where to start? Look no further, as I would love to join you on your journey to becoming a skilled and confident singer.

Singing is so much fun, but at the same time it can be quite daunting! Every single voice is unique and has its own sound. Every singer has to understand their vocal abilities and has to tackle different difficulties. Exactly for that reason, I love helping others discover their voice.

I organise a few different classes, ranging from bigger 'choir' workshop where we sing together in group (although a bit more challenging these days as we are all singing together from our own homes, but it still seems to work!) and individual sessions tailored to your voice to music quizzes and social 'coffee' catch ups.

If this sounds like fun and you would like to learn the basics & get a better understanding of your own voice, then join me and let's help each other to become better singers!

Let's get back to it: singing workshop .. Landslide (The Chicks) part 2

Saint Pancras Community Association

£10.00

It's time to get back together, wake up those vocal chords and have some fun singing together! We will work on our breathing, do some vocal warm up exercises and learn a song, adding a harmony if possible!

These workshops are a social get together for people who love to sing and enjoy singing in group in a very relaxed environment. We are a very friendly bunch and get lots of enjoyment out of singing, without feeling the need to be perfect!

We will continue working on Landslide by 'The Chicks' as we didn't manage to finish off the song last time. However, if you weren't there for the first session .. don't worry! We will start again from scratch with the harmonies so everyone can join in!

The venue has changed and we will now be meeting from 14:30 until 16:00 at the SPCA (https://www.spca.org.uk/), which is only a 5 min walk from Morning Crescent station or a 15min bus ride from King's Cross Station. The room can fit around a 100 people (max capacity for this workshop is 25) and has doors that open to the street side so fresh air can flow in.

Some housekeeping:

The price for this workshop is £10 (payable in cash upon arrival). If you've had a rough time financially over the last 18 months, then please send me a message and we can work something out.

Obviously, if you are feeling unwell and/or have any Covid-related symptoms, then be mindful of the other singers and stay at home.

Finally, if you can't longer make it to the event, please cancel as spaces are limited and it would allow others to take your spot.

I hope to see you there!

Online Open Mic - Theme: song or artist with your first name

This is your chance to shine and share your voice :-)!

During this Open Mic, you will be able to sing a song in front of other people: the perfect opportunity to practise singing by yourself and get more confident in front of an audience.

There is a theme this month: choose a song that has your first name in it OR choose a song from an artist who shares your first name OR if you have a very original first name, then pick someone from the group and use their name instead :-)!

The process is very simple:
- Pick one song that you love and suits your voice.
- Find a backing track (Spotify has plenty of instrumental/karaoke versions -- contact me if you need any help sourcing these!) or feel free to accompany yourself if you play an instrument
- Start practising, book a one-to-one lesson if you need some help
- Send me a private message with your song choice
- Show up on the day and perform your song!
- HAVE FUN!

If you are not ready yet to sing yourself, but would love to watch other people's performances, then feel free to sign up and just listen in :-)!

I hope to see you there!
