What we’re about
We are a group of women (age 18+) who like women. Mostly from all over Yorkshire including in and around Leeds, Huddersfield & York, and further afield. The group is friendly to all lesbians, bisexuals, queer and transgender women as well as non binary people.
We love to meet up and chat during every second Thursday of the month, go for walks, cinema trips, meals out and night out on the gay scene, meet for brunch, coffee and cake or cocktails.
The emphasis of the group is relaxed, having fun, as we are not really focused on activism or politics.
We are a bunch of friendly faces looking to have a good time and laughs with new people. Every meet up always has new faces which we love. So many friendships have been made through this group.

NOTE: this group is fully private, the only people who will know you are in this group are the other members, nothing will be shown about you being a member to the rest of meetup.
We want all members to support the running of this group, joining in to organise and participate in events so we have a diverse range of events to suit all. If anyone in the group does not attend any meet ups for a period of two years, their membership in this group will be reviewed. This is to ensure that the group is more about quality rather than quantity and safety for the rest of the group.
Most events will also require a fee to be paid via bank transfer or cash (details are on each event information page). This is to support the running of this group on this platform as subscription costs are high. Any surplus will go back into the group events for the members' benefit. Without your financial support we may not be able to continue to run this group in the future.
Anyone coming for the first time, we have all been there. It’s nerve racking walking in on your own but we all understand and been through it too so if you’re super nervous, send a message to the host and come earlier on for larger drop in events like the Thursday nights so you have more time to talk with the host before it gets busy. You will be welcomed by everyone and guaranteed you won’t be the only new face at the event. You’re welcome to bring a female friend if you really want as long as they identify as a woman or are non binary and are an ally of our community, for the comfort of the group, no men are allowed.
Final note, please keep your rsvps updated as early as possible, preferably the night before so we know who to expect at each event and keep an eye on the messages for any last minute updates too. This is especially important for the smaller events as hosts have to plan and travel and pay to get there so if you don’t turn up it’s really frustrating for the rest of the group and the host.
