About us
Leeds Mobile is Leeds based community for sharing knowledge and experiences of building, designing, testing and delivering mobile applications. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their background or skill set.
We run one event per month, and host it in person. We aim to have one talk per event, which will be proceeded by us getting some food to feed attendees, and then followed by an optional visit to a nearby pub.
The aim is to host our events at different business in and around Leeds, and to have a broad range of topics to attract a diverse audience.
Please visit our website for more information about the event at https://www.leedsmobile.com.

RevenueCat Shipaton IRL
Lloyds Banking Group Wellington Place, 12 Wellington Place, Leeds LS1 4AJ, Leeds, GBThis September, we are teaming up with RevenueCat to host an official Shipaton IRL event at Lloyds Banking Group.
Part of the world's biggest mobile hackathon for people who actually ship, this gathering is all about sharing your ideas, showing off what you have been building, and getting inspired by stories from fellow developers in the community. Whether you are aiming for one of the global prize categories or just want to connect with local builders, this is the place to do it.
We will be joined on the evening by Matt Heaney, a Developer Support Engineer from RevenueCat, who will be coming along to answer your questions about launching apps and shipping to the app stores. It is a fantastic opportunity to get direct advice on your technical toolchain, monetisation, or anything else you need to push your project over the finish line.
Also, Leeds Mobile celebrates its 3rd birthday this year! We'll continue the tradition with Luke Stringer delivering a year in review, as well as providing some delicious birthday cupcakes for everyone π

State Without the Headache
Hippo Digital, The Brew Society, 26 Aire Street, LS1 4HT, Leeds, GBThis month, we will be at Hippo Digital for a talk by Ibim Braide.
State Without the Headache: Three Boundaries Every Flutter App Needs
State management in Flutter can start simply with "setState", then quickly become difficult to reason about as an application grows. This practical talk explores how to decide where state should live, who should own it, and how changes should flow through an application without making everything global.
Using a practical Flutter example, Ibim will show how an application can evolve from local state towards a cleaner, more scalable structure. The session will cover state ownership, local versus shared state, widget rebuilds, Provider, ChangeNotifier, Consumer and Selector, while also looking at broader principles such as separation of concerns, single source of truth and unidirectional data flow.
The aim is not to promote one state management solution, but to provide practical principles that developers can apply when deciding how to structure state in their own Flutter applications.
**Ibim Braide **is a software engineer and the organiser of Flutter Birmingham and Golang Birmingham. He has experience building web, mobile and desktop applications using technologies including Flutter, Dart, React, TypeScript and C#. He is particularly interested in application architecture, state management and building maintainable software, and enjoys contributing to and bringing together developer communities.
