An Amble from Bramham to Tadcaster

Details
A summertime ramble from the village of Bramham to Tadcaster (linear walk)
Distance - about 6 miles and around 200 feet of climbing.
To get there - 10.55 no 7 Wetherby bus from Leeds Bus Station, meet at Bramham War Memorial at 11.36
The route is mostly on field paths, tracks and back roads with few stiles. From Bramham there is a gradual climb up past the Church to the track that leads through fields towards Oglethorpe Hall and the river Wharfe. After joining the main road we follow it for half a mile to the little settlement of Newton Kyme, with its ancient church and magnificent hall. We then follow the river path to near Tadcaster, and cross the river Wharfe via the viaduct.
Return to Leeds on the 843 Coastliner bus (hourly).
There is no charge to attend the first three CHA walks, but to attend further walks after that we request that you join our club for £6 annual membership. This includes access to an unlimited number of walks, social events & coach trips (these currently cost £18 per passenger)
This brings the conditions in line with the parent club Leeds CHA Rambling & Social Club.
