THIS WALK IS A JOINT WALK WITH STAFFORDSHIRE MOORLANDS WALKING FESTIVAL SO GUESTS ARE WELCOME FOR FREE BUT PLEASE BOOK VIA RSVP

LIMITED NUMBERS! SORRY NO DOGS DUE TO STYLES AND RSPB RESERVE

Ladies Love Walking for those that aren't members is a lovely friendly, fun group of ladies that are serious about walking. We enjoy a variety of distance and stamina walks with a fabulous challenge once a month. We walk most Saturdays and all the walks are free for paid members who subscribe to our group.

This walk is a perfect escape into nature with stunning open countryside, woodland and an RSPB Nature Reserve.

Lots of Spring flowers, garlic and pretty forests and brooks.

A slightly strenuous approx. 7 mile walk with some steep undulation

Also there are a number of challenging styles along the route.

We walk at a nice pace and will enjoy breaks to take in nature at its best, with a treat at the Buzzard Bench. Let's hope the wild ram doesn't come for a visit..

Great meeting place at Cheddleton Churnet Valley Railway Station

There are a few surprises starting with our pigs at the onset. (Maybe)

We meet at Cheddleton Station with free lane parking. Please don't use the Churnet Valley Railway car park.

There are toilets at the Railway Station just ask if staff are there as they don't usually mind.

Bring your binoculars and camera. Awesome scenery, rippling brooks, quaint bridges, even haunted forests!

A visit to The Boat at the end by the Canal for a drink by the canal

Bring a picnic and water/flask

Please wear good walking boots and walking gear.

Sticks are very useful.

Free limited car parking on lane outside station. Postcode is ST13 7EG. Follow the long lane from Leek brook and you will eventually pass a caravan park. It is not far up the lane on the right. Drive carefully.

The toilets for the station may be open but not guaranteed and no toilets on the route

Everyone is welcome but you need to be fit enough to walk a good medium stamina 7 miler and please contact me if unsure on dianecarter@theatlas-discovery.com

Kind regards
