This is a group for East Asian people (originally) from overseas who're interested in British & European culture, and for UK-based people from any background who are interested in East Asian & Chinese culture, including those who'd like to practise a few words in a Chinese language or improve their existing language skills in Cantonese, German, English, Japanese or Mandarin. It would be lovely to have some more members from other East Asian/Far East cultures, such as Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam - we're open to all and look forward to you joining us at our regular fortnightly meetings or at our occasional cultural events & sight-seeing trips. Our meetings are generally free to attend, and we often even enjoy a 10% discount for some third-party costs, such as food & drinks in restaurants. However, things like cinema tickets, travel & parking are usually your own responsibility.

In this Group any Member can run an event, so if you've got a good idea and/or have time to be the Event Host, feel free to tell Holger who will create a draft Event page for you to manage :-).
