## Beads: Go Open Source Projects in the Age of AI
Hello, 世界!
For meetup #58 on Tuesday Mar 31, 2026 19:00 CET we are happy to have Akim Zmerli give us an intro to beads, specifically:
> How agents perform long-running tasks and pass context seamlessly to each other. Beads is a rising Go project that brings structured planning to any workflow, whether agentic or hands-on. Akim Zmerli will present his favorite techniques, TUI projects and what Rob Pike thinks about the current state of affairs.
The beads project is less than six months old (2025-10-11), but already well beyond 250 KLOC, with more than 200 KLOC written in Go.
We are always interested in developer tools. At #44, less than two years ago, not a single AI coding tool did make it to our list.
Looking forward to this foray into the agentic coding space.
