About us
🌦️ There’s No Such Thing as Bad Weather – Walking & Hiking Group 🚶♂️🚶♀️
.........Only bad clothing choices.
Weather Warriors welcome!
This is not your typical walking/Hiking group — and that’s very much on purpose. This group is for people who love being outside, who enjoy walking in all seasons, and who understand that weather isn’t something we wait out — it’s something we walk with. Rain, snow, wind, heat, grey skies, sunshine… this is Toronto, and this is the experience. We are weather warriors 🌬️☔❄️🌞 — we show up prepared, adaptable, and ready to move.
Toronto is one of the greenest cities in the world, filled with ravines, neighbourhood routes, parks, trails, and hidden gems. This group will explore 50+ walking and hiking routes across the city, always transit-accessible, always grounded in connection, movement, and shared experience.
Our walks are on the leisure side — not too slow, not too fast — designed for people who want to move their bodies and talk while doing it. This is a social walking group. By the end of a walk, the hope is that you’ve met someone new, shared a conversation, or simply enjoyed being part of a group moving together.
Here’s what makes us different 👇
We don’t cancel walks just because of the weather. Other groups do — we don’t. Walks go ahead rain or shine. Sometimes routes may be adjusted, shortened, or adapted based on conditions, but the expectation is simple: when you sign up, we’re going.
That means this group is best suited for people who:
🌤️ Check the weather before they RSVP
🧥 Know what conditions they’re comfortable walking in
☂️ Dress for the forecast (boots, umbrellas, layers — all welcome)
🧠 Take ownership of their decision to attend
🤝 Understand that an RSVP is a commitment to the group
You are always welcome to:
– Join the group and attend only the walks that suit you
– Decide on the day and show up without RSVPing
– RSVP later once you’re confident the weather meets your needs
What doesn’t work here is signing up in advance and cancelling last-minute because the weather wasn’t what you expected. When people RSVP, others plan around that — routes, pacing, safety, and the shared sense of “we’re doing this together.” That follow-through matters in this group.
Extreme or unsafe conditions (severe cold, extreme heat, dangerous wind) will always be an organizer call. This isn’t about being reckless — it’s about being prepared, realistic, and grounded.
Above all, this is a friendly, respectful, easy-going community. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is treated with care. We also respect boundaries: no unsolicited messages, no pressure, no assumptions. Connection happens naturally, on the walk.
If you’re looking for a walking group that embraces the seasons, values commitment, and believes that showing up — in life and in weather — is kind of the point… you’re in the right place 🌲👣

🌸🌊 SPRING WALK OF THE TORONTO ISLANDS (9KM) 🌊🌸
Toronto Center Island, 21 Queens Quay West M5J 2V3, Toronto, ON, CA🌸🌊 SPRING WALK OF THE TORONTO ISLANDS (9KM) 🌊🌸
Lakeside Paths, Skyline Views & A Full Island Escape
There’s something about the Toronto Islands that feels like a mini getaway — even though you’re just minutes from downtown.
Join us for a relaxed, scenic spring walk across the Toronto Islands, where open water, quiet pathways, and skyline views come together in one of the city’s most peaceful settings.
The Islands have a rich and layered history — once a sandbar peninsula connected to the mainland until a storm in 1858 separated it, creating the island chain we know today. Over time, it’s been home to cottages, amusement parks, and a tight-knit residential community that still exists on Ward’s Island.
On this walk, we’ll move from the quieter, more open spaces of Hanlan's Point, through the lively areas of Centre Island, and end in the charming residential feel of Ward's Island.
This is not a formal tour. It’s a social walk with fresh air, beautiful views, and time to connect.
👉 Don’t forget to join our WhatsApp group – CLICK HERE!
🚶♂️ What We’ll Do
We’ll take the ferry together to Hanlan’s Point and begin our walk across the islands.
The route is flat, easy, and beginner-friendly — perfect if you’re easing back into walking or just want something relaxed.
We’ll pass beaches, open green space, and some of the best skyline views in the city (perfect photo moment 📸), making our way through Centre Island before ending at Ward’s Island.
Feel free to bring a snack to enjoy along the way — or even something small to share.
You’re welcome to leave at any time or stay and explore after we finish.🌦️ Weather & Expectations
This walk will happen in typical spring weather — which means sun, wind, or light rain are all possible.
As long as it’s not extreme conditions, we’ll be going ahead.
The islands can feel cooler and windier than the city, so dress in layers and be prepared.
Comfortable shoes are a must. Also — this is NOT a guided or historical tour. I’ll share bits of history casually, but the focus is on enjoying the experience together.

Old Industry, New Energy & A Food Hall Finish
Some parts of Toronto have completely reinvented themselves — and walking through them feels like watching the city evolve in real time.
This is a brand new walk — the first time we’re doing it — and it’s all about exploring three very different (and very cool) pockets of the west end. We’ll start in Liberty Village, once an industrial zone filled with factories and rail lines, now transformed into a buzzing neighbourhood of condos, creative spaces, and local energy. From there, we’ll head to Stackt Market, a unique outdoor market built from shipping containers, full of pop-up shops, art, and ever-changing vendors.
We’ll finish at The Well, one of Toronto’s newest and most talked-about developments, where we’ll settle into the food hall for a relaxed lunch together.
