Ready for a fun morning outdoors with a friendly crew? Join us at Goonengerry National Park for spectacular views, beautiful waterfalls, refreshing swimming holes and plenty of time to meet new people along the way.
Meet: 9 am at the Federal Oval on Federal Drive, opposite the Federal General Store. From there, we’ll set out in convoy for the 20-minute drive to Goonengerry National Park. If you need a lift, reach out, and we may be able to assist.
We’ll follow a scenic loop trail through beautiful forest, with leisurely stops to chat, take in the surroundings, and visit two spectacular waterfalls. Both offer breathtaking views across Wanganui Gorge towards Nightcap National Park. Feeling brave? Bring your swimmers and take the plunge in one of the cold but refreshing swimming holes!
Finish: We aim to be back at the car park by 1.00 pm.Distance: Approximately 6 km loop trail.Grade: This is a relatively easy hike over uneven and undulated terrainWhat to bring: Trainers / walking boots recommended. Swimmers, towel, water / lunch / snacks. Nearest cafe is at Federal.
