Planting life at the Butterfly Gate

Details

Our Butterfly Gate grew immensely thanks to all the active supporters who showed up and rolled their sleeves during February and March!

This time we focus on planting shrubs and perennials along the fence to provide diverse food sources for pollinator insects.

Everyone is welcome to give a helping hand. No prior experience is needed (although always welcomed).

Some plants are already located at the site and will be replanted. We also welcome plant donations. Please get in touch with us before deciding to bring one along. These are the requirements we ask you to consider beforehand:
•preferably native
•bee- and butterfly-friendly
•mainly perennials
•non-invasive.

Our events are managed by the members of the EinfachGut association. Expect to meet at least one of them on site (this time it is me, Anna).
If you can allocate from your busy schedule only one hour instead of two, please let us know by sending a message to me here.

Equipment required:
•sturdy boots (it is muddy in the field now)
•garden gloves or similar to protect your hands
•water or tea to drink
•clothes you are willing to smear with dirt.

There is a paid parking lot (Obere Mühle) next to the field if you decide to come by car.
