Taste It! Cabo Verde

Before we take you to Cabo Verde, we are bringing Cabo Verde to you.
Lesbifriends Travel is partnering with Lex, founder of Taste It!, for a queer-centered afternoon dedicated to the food, culture, and stories of Cabo Verde. Enjoy a thoughtfully curated three-course tasting menu, hear the origin story behind each course, sip your choice of a specialty cocktail, mocktail, or wine, and close the afternoon with an interactive cultural experience that celebrates Cabo Verde beyond the table.
Whether Cabo Verde is part of your own story or you are discovering its cuisine for the first time, come ready to learn, connect, and leave full in more ways than one.

β° 7:30 AMLesbifriends Travel is showing up for a cause that hits home.
Join us for the 40th annual Walk to End HIV, benefiting the HIV programs and services of Whitman-Walker Health. This year, we are walking with Team I Did It My Way, organized by Lee Levingston Perine. Lee is turning 48 and has set a goal of gathering 48 walkers in honor of his father, David Andrew Perine, Sr., and his friend, SaVanna Wanzer. It is a beautiful cause, a natural fit for our community, and a chance to move with people who are moving for something bigger than themselves.
After the walk, there will be a casual community meetup to close the morning together.
How to Join Us:
- Register through Team I Did It My Way to walk with our crew
- Cannot walk? Donate to our team page directly to support the cause
- Wear your Lesbifriends spirit and be ready to move
Who This Is For:
Black queer women and non-binary folks who want to move for a cause, honor those we have lost, and stand with the community that has stood with us for decades.β¨ Lesbifriends Travel invites you to lace up and walk with us. Learn more info here: LBF Walks to End HIV.
Note: By attending this event, you agree to being photographed. However, if communicated, we will try our best not to capture you in photos and post you publicly. That request must be communicated ahead of time/at the beginning of the event to photographer and host.
