Lord of the Rings screening with live orchestra

This event looks amazing. At Bass Concert Hall they’re going to screen Lord of the Rings but it’s a version without the musical score (but it still has all the sound effects & dialogue): instead of the score coming from the screen, the Austin Symphony Orchestra will play the score, accompanying the movie onscreen behind them. This might well be the most beautiful movie-score ever. Its last song, “May It Be” (originally sung by Enya) is truly sublime.

Tickets are each $60 plus fees.
