Let's build something amazing

This group is for EVERYONE. Not just tech people. If you have an interest in how technology can improve the lives of everyone, and want to participate in building something amazing, then this group is for you.

While it's not essential, the earlier you get in the better. If you find out about this group after we're well into building what we decided to build, we will try to be meticulous about documentation so that anyone joining late will be able to bring themselves up to speed.

A little about me. I've been doing web and cloud development since their inception so I have a great deal of knowledge and insights I should be able to share. I plan only to act as a sort of moderator / facilitator. The plan is to give the group full sovereignty over project-level decisions, but tbh I'm not entirely sure how that will go so I do need to reserve the right to adjust this as needed. So really I'm just the BDFL of the project :)

NOTE: Everything we build will be open source, with commercial-friendly licensing.

UPDATE: Meetup.com sent me an email asking me to update the group's description. Since all of the things they want to know are not known yet I just wanted to add this explanation here so they will understand that they have asked me to answer things I don't have the answer to.

Specifically they asked:
- what kind of project(s) the group will be working on: I don't know
- What kind of skills or interests would be a good fit: This will be up to the group when it has formed. Except that, generally, this will be a technology project but is not exclusive to people with technology experience.
