About us
This group, which has been running now for 12 years, is for anyone in and around Chesham, Amersham, High Wycombe, Berkhamstead, Chalfonts, Beaconsfield etc who would like to meet new people just like themselves and hopefully have some fun times out. Any activity suggestions are welcome!
Whether you like walking, a lazy Sunday coffee, a relaxing wind-down drink at the pub, comedy and gig nights, days or nights out in London, I hope we can get together for fun and laughter!
If this will be your first meetup, I know it can be a little daunting. So please feel free to message myself or any of the organisers prior to an event or if you have any questions. We now have over 1,200 five-star event reviews, so attend with confidence!
Note: when joining the group please ensure that your profile questions are filled out. The answers can be as long or short as you like but please make an effort to introduce yourself to the group! If you don't your membership will be declined.
Also please ensure the profile picture is a real picture of yourself as this helps members recognise you at our meets.
We ask for a £5 voluntary donation once a year around June or July; you are not obliged to pay this, but it does help pay for the fees meetup.com charges us to operate on this platform.
Thanks a lot and we can't wait to see you soon :)
P.S. I recommend joining our Facebook group also! As extra events are often on there too. Our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/14015596301...

OUR CODE OF CONDUCT
Purpose
Our group exists to help people meet, make friends, and enjoy shared activities in a welcoming, safe environment. This Code of Conduct explains what we expect from attendees and what will happen if behaviour falls short.
Scope
This Code applies to all group activities, online discussions, event pages and communications between members, organisers, and venue staff.
Expected behaviour
• Be respectful. Treat others with courtesy and kindness.
• Be inclusive. Welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels.
• Be considerate. Keep noise, language, and behaviour appropriate to the event and venue.
• Be responsible. If you sign up, attend where possible; cancel promptly if plans change.
• Follow organiser requests. If an organiser asks you to stop a behaviour or to leave, please comply.
Unacceptable behaviour
Unacceptable behaviour includes, but is not limited to:
• Harassment, discrimination, or abusive language based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, age, or other protected characteristics.
• Aggressive, threatening, or violent behaviour.
• Persistent unwanted attention, stalking, or sexual advances.
• Excessive intoxication that disrupts the event or makes others uncomfortable.
• Sustained disruption of activities, vandalism, or ignoring venue rules.
Reporting and response
How to report: Contact your event host in the first instance. If the issue is urgent or dangerous, contact venue staff or emergency services first.
What we will do: We will treat reports seriously, keep them confidential where possible, and respond promptly. Organisers may speak with involved parties, ask someone to leave, or remove them from future events. For serious incidents we may contact Meetup support or venue management.
Documentation: Organisers will keep a private incident log to track repeat problems and decisions.
Consequences
Consequences are proportionate to the behaviour and may include: a private warning, temporary suspension from events, or permanent removal from the group. For criminal or dangerous behaviour we will involve venue staff and/or the authorities.
Final notes
We expect everyone to help keep the group welcoming. If you see something concerning, please tell an organiser. This Code is a living document. Organisers may update it and will post changes here.
