Wednesday Wanders: Pedal along the C&O Canal

🚲Description:
Join us for a scenic midweek ride along the C&O Canal Towpath, under a canopy of cooling trees, following the Potomac River. This relaxed 10–12 mile out-and-back ride will take us past the Antietam Aqueduct— a beautifully restored highlight of the trail. Enjoy time outdoors, connect with others, and soak in the serenity of the natural world.
🌿What we'll do:
We’ll pedal from Dargan Bend to Miller’s Sawmill Rd., adjusting the turnaround spot to suit the group. The total distance will be 10-12 miles, and we’ll stop along the way to enjoy nature and historic structures.
👋🏼 Meeting Point:
Meet at 9:50 AM in the Dargan parking area, Mile Marker 64.9 (linked below).
We start at 10 AM.
🚙 Parking: Dargan Bend Boat Ramp, Sharpsburg, MD 21782
🚻 Miscellaneous: Restrooms available at the start point.

🎒 PREPARATION:

• Helmet (required)
• Tune up your bike including inflating your tires
• Water
• Snack if desired
• Sunblock
• Bug spray
• Bike lock (optional for breaks)
