What we’re about
The changing climate impacts us all. Yet we barely have a conversation about it in our daily lives. Other than, perhaps, talking about the weather with our neighbours.
This group will create a safe and non-judgmental environment to talk about the changing climate and planet and how it has already impacted our lives and those you know.
We intend to meet monthly - sometimes even weekly! Our chat will be themed around a topic - we will look into the impacts of climate change on our daily lives but also bring in experts to share knowledge, tools and emotional support on solutions we already have to address the climate crisis.
Our main goal is to create human connections regardless of who you are outside this group, reflect on our common or divergent experiences and views, and learn something new!
Anyone interested in better understanding climate change, biodiversity loss and their impacts on our daily lives are welcome. No specialist knowledge is required, and even if you are just curious about the topic, please join us. If you know a fair amount on the topic, please share it with us.
We invite everyone, including those with relevant expertise, to propose topics for our upcoming meet-ups. Thank you.

See all- Climate Action Book Club: ‘Regeneration’ by Paul HawkenBackstory English Bookshop, Barcelona
The climate emergency will not be solved by reading books. But by coming together to read, to educate ourselves, to share what we learn with friends and family, and to take action in our corner of the world we can be a small part of the wave of change humanity desperately needs. Sound like something you want to be a part of? We’d love to have you.
Join The Climate Action Book Club this month to read the ‘Regeneration: Ending the Climate Crisis in One Generation’ by Paul Hawken. Hawken is one of the leaders behind Project Drawdown, one of the leading efforts to quantify the emissions reductions needed for a net zero world. Read more about the book.
Please try to get your copy from the wonderful English bookstore that hosts our book club meetings, Backstory.
You are welcome (even encouraged) to join us even if you haven't read the book but want to hear and join the discussion about it. Feel free to bring a friend, too. Hope to see you!
