Want to reimagine the economy? Special screening and discussion of “Purpose”

Details
Sometimes you have to see it to believe it — and believe it is possible. Join Films for the Future to watch films that grapple with the changes that are being contemplated, debated and fought for, and that ponder and imagine what lies ahead.
Join us at 20h on Wednesday, July 2, at Mau Mau in Poble Sec for our inaugural session and the Catalan and Spanish premiere of Purpose, a documentary about new models for people and planet.
Get a break from the summer heat in our cool venue and be part of the film’s first-ever screening in Cataluña and Spain. Subtitles are unfortunately unavailable in either language, but it will have autogenerated English captions. We will host a bilingual film discussion afterwards over drinks and snacks.
Here’s what the producers say about the film: "What’s the true purpose of our economies, and how can we reshape them for the better? That’s the central question in Purpose, a documentary following Katherine Trebeck and Lorenzo Fioramonti in their efforts to shift the focus away from GDP and toward what truly matters, for people and the planet." Read more at purpose.film
We charge €3 in advance and €5 at the door to pay for the €100 rental of the space. We encourage you to also buy a drink from our hosts.
Any profit will be donated towards the film’s licensing fee, and the total be posted here. Additional donations towards the costs of producing and distributing the film are welcomed by the film’s producers.
