Films for the Future: Watch degrowth documentary, discuss with director

Sometimes you have to see it to believe it — and believe it is possible. Join Films for the Future to watch films that grapple with the changes that are being contemplated, debated and fought for, and that ponder and imagine what lies ahead.

Join us at 13h on Saturday, July 12, for a screening of the 25-minute documentary ‘Less is more: Can degrowth save the world?’ Director Alvaro Alvarez will join us for for the viewing and a discussion. We’re holding this event in collaboration with Apocapoc BCN's Nest City Lab as part of their Good Deed Saturday. Register for the rest of the day’s delightful events, which run 11h-18h. Apocapoc BCN’s Nest City Lab is a culture lab promoting regenerative habits and sustainable practices which facilitate a lifestyle that reduces our ecological footprint on a daily basis and encourages us to have a positive impact on the world.

Their Good Deed Saturday, which takes place every other month, is a space to pay it forward, ie, to respond to a person's kindness to oneself by being kind to someone else. It is a joyful day of sharing talents, learning new skills, and caring for each other — all within the gift economy, no money involved. Register here.
