Beyond Black Friday: How to Live (More) Plastic Free. Free Tour and Chat
Details
Take a walk around Gràcia with a group of thoughtful people who care about their impact and want to be part of a better future. And finish the day with a glass of vermut!
We’ll visit several granels to see firsthand the enormous range of the products you can buy in bulk and how much you can save by doing so. Instead of paying for and then throwing away new containers with each purchase, you can refill every time. Cleaning products range from shampoo and dish soap to vinegar and baking soda, food stuffs from nuts to pasta to cookies, and liquids from kombucha to liquor.
Our final stop will be a bodega, where we will finish the afternoon with a glass of wine, vermut or whatever you prefer!

- Empty containers: jars, spray bottles, wine bottles, etc. You’ll have lots of opportunities to fill them up! But don’t forget your corks and lids.
- Money: We will be stopping at local shops who would appreciate your business — and have lots of cool and useful things.
- Your dog, if desired: Many of the merchants allow dogs.
- A backpack or camioneta: Those containers get heavy!
This tour is free, but we welcome a €1 donation to help pay the annual (and fast-rising) Meetup fees.

About this community
Are you new to the meetup group Let’s Talk About Climate Change or our WhatsApp group Mobilizing Hope? We work to bring together English-speaking people in Barcelona and beyond for climate education and action, and also community. Most of our events are in English, but we welcome speakers of Catalan, Castellano and other languages. We created this group because we could not find any community like it. We range from degrowthers to startup founders, from artists to data scientists. We may not agree on everything, but we all want to move in the same direction. If you do too, you’re welcome to make it your home.
