Here we are again! One of my favorite rides, and the weather should be wonderful!
Let's Laugh to Death while we ride to Lake Havasu, through Death Valley, then to Laughlin.
This is a 5-day ride this time. We stay at Lake Havasu one night, in Pahrump, NV two nights, then Laughlin the third night.
Nevada and California require that you wear helmets, but you would have worn them anyway, right?
At Lake Havasu we stay at the Days Inn. From there we can walk to London Bridge, hang around, and have dinner. On our way to Lake Havasu we'll have lunch at the Black Pearl Restaurant in Parker.
In Pahrump we stay at the Saddle West Hotel Casino RV Resort. The casino is separate from the hotel rooms, so no worries about noise, smoke, etc. The hotel rooms are arranged around several attractive green-grassed and tree-lined courtyards. We typically would eat in the Casino where they have a good-sized buffet serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner; however, there are numerous options around town. If you enjoy wine tasting, then about a mile from the casino is the Artesian Cellars Winery and Restaurant. I enjoyed a flight of wine there along with a plate of prosciutto-wrapped dates, which were delicious! Even if we eat at the hotel, I plan to walk to the winery to enjoy their live music and have some wine. They haven't posted yet what band they'll have playing, but I'll keep you posted.
At Laughlin we stay at the Tropicana. They have a nice dining room there and live music as well. In the morning we'll have breakfast at Bob's Big Boy in Indian Springs, then visit the Red Rock Canyon before we arrive in Laughlin.
On the way home we'll have breakfast at the Coyote Cafe in Bullhead City, stop in Oatman, then head to Wickenburg where we'll part our ways.
PARK FEES:
The Death Valley National Park has a daily entrance fee of $25. I have been to Death Valley several times. There are no Entrance Stations on the roads; however, there are kiosk fee machines at Zabriskie Point and Badwater (Credit Card Only) or at the Furnace Creek Visitor Center. If you have an America the Beautiful pass then there is no entrance fee.
